Is there such a thing as a ‘perfect ‘marriage?

When you were young or not so young , you would idealize your marriage to be perfect. You want everything to be perfect ,as perfect as can be.You see others from the outside and you think they make a perfect couple or have a perfect marriage not knowing that there is no such thing as a perfect marriage.

You may have beauty, money and power but these qualities don't make a perfect marriage. They can in fact ,be a liability for they can tear the marriage apart.There is no perfect man or woman .Be realistic and do not have unrealistic expectations.You can fantasize and dream but that is as far as you can go .

When you want to marry , open both eyes wide and after marriage, close one eye or both. After marriage when the euphoria have lifted, you will began to see the faults in each other which you did not see when you were busy romancing.

Your husband may not be like your parents who grant or pander to your every request.You may be like a princess in your own home but in your new own domain, your continued royalty behaviour maybe your downfall.

From a carefree princess, you have left your comfortable kingdom to venture into another magical make believe world .It is an illusion and soon you will be on the long road of debts,bickerings, irritations, diapers and drudgery's.This is not what you wanted or had in mind .You only thought or read of those love stories and those blithely beautiful imaginations.

How they were so happy to be in love and married.

Marriage is a complex union of two souls, body and spirit.Two people who are incompatible with each other, like a duck and a hen or a cat and a dog.

To make a marriage work , you will need to have patience,skill, tact, emotional and spiritual growth.Need God's help too...

You need to be perfect in understanding that neither of you can be perfect and that you and your spouse have to work at your marriage , give and take and to forgive the others transgressions.
