Evangelism or harassment ?

It is the duty of every Christian to evangelize God's word but not everyone is gifted with that gift. Evangelize doe not mean that you must stand on the street corners or in the mall and hand out religious pamphlets or Bibles .

You can evangelize by living the right way and be like a beacon in the sea of darkness.If your life is not much difference from those non Christians,your religion will be in vain.

If you don't have that gift, you may instead turn off people from your religion.Distributing Bibles and religious materials and inviting the non Christians to churches or cell groups are some of the ways to evangelize.

To hang outside schools and in public places and talking to those students or people about God is not the way to do it. It can be considered harassment and many people do not like to be accosted and be forced to listen to some religious nut.

They are like those pesky salesperson who is trying to sell you some useless gadgets. The more forceful you become , the more they will withdraw from you. Even good friends may avoid you .

Even as a Christian, I do not agree with this way of evangelizing. You will accomplish nothing but only contempt and dislike for your religion. There is a proper place and time to spread the word of God.

Going from door to door and talking about your religion can turn many people off . You may share your experience about what God has done in your life but not many people will believe you .

People are not interested in your religion when what you give them are only words and not deeds.Those who quote Bible scriptures are the worst kind. They want to show others that they are right, superior and holy than thou, while others are wrong.They pick and chose those scriptures they like and keep quiet about the other scriptures which showed their wrongs.

If you help them ,understand their problems and be there for them , they will listen to you .If a man is hungry , you do not tell him that God love him and the goodness of God, bless him and and then leave him to his own problems.

Will that poor hungry man accept your empty talk ? What good are empty words which cannot fill his empty stomach.What he needs is bread or food .Therefore , the man who gives him food gives it out of the love for God. You who gives him only words, do it out of your hypercritical love for God.

If you are of God, you will try to live the way God wants you to. You would be the living example of what your religion teaches.

You may put up posters or flyers or advertise in the newspapers about your activities in church and let them decide if they want to come or not.Those who want to seek more about God will come .

Whether a person is ready to accept God or not, only God Knows. Someone will plant a seed, others will water it and it is God who will decide when to harvest it.

To know God is to have love for others. Love thy neighbour as your self. Don't bang the Bible on their heads or forced them down their throats.

In the movie version ,it is a comedy but it raised certain issues about the existence of God or who should be liable ?

If any disasters were to happened here , some people would call it an ‘Act of God!” Is it because of God or is it because of the greed of men who rape, pillage and destroy the Earth .They shall reap what they sowed


Can we humans sue God ? Yes! You can sue God in your puny courts but how will you enforce your judgments and collect your dues? Even judges on this Earth have to answer to a higher authorities and the final arbiter of life is God.

The judge in that Nebraska court threw out the case because it could not send the summons to God's address.

If any court in this world were to come out with a judgement against God, it woul be made a laughing stock .I think the judge will not have any sleep once he judged against God..LOL!

Which God or Gods’ will you sue?How would you know which Gods is responsible for the disaster? How can you prove it?

Maybe ,it is for the publicity but every man will face God one day for all his actions. Whether you are an atheist or non believer, everyone will face God in the final judgments.
Believe it or not is your decisions.

No democratic and fair court would decide such an issue and any suit against God is frivolous and a waste of the courts time.

Maybe, if you live in a third world dictatorial regime and where everything is tainted , the courts there can made any decisions as they wished and enforced any verdict or judgements on the followers of that God.

The worse you can do is to blame God but to sue God? That is an exercise in futility…Anyone suing God ought to have his head examined.

In litigation rich US and U.K, everyone can sue everyone , even God is not spared…

Does God make's mistakes ?

Have you ever thought of this question before? Can God make mistakes ? God is supposed to be perfect and He made men in their likeness. Since men are doomed to make mistakes , which means that either God is like us or God cannot be perfect ?

All the while , you have been accepting what you have been preached to by those church pastors and told not to question the Bible or God .



You have been accepting it as the gospel truth and never questioned the validity of those interpretations from those pastors, evangelist and preachers.Or ,you read the Bible and just simply take in what is said.

You are not critically minded and you don't question what is written because you have been conditioned or brainwashed by those teachers or pastors .

Are you in the majority group who thinks that you should never question the Bible ,God or those pastors? Did not God give us a brain to think and question what we are taught ?

Many Christians are like babies spiritually in their faith in God. They cannot think for themselves and listened only to their pastors .

What the pastor taught them , they swallowed whole ,hook,line and sinker. They think , the pastor who graduated from a seminary is right all the time.

I think this is wrong, pastors are also human beings and can make mistakes. Different pastors and different ethnic pastors have different versions. That is why there are so many denominations in the world today.

Let us examine rationally whether God can make mistakes. In the beginning, there was God and then He made angels to help Him do His work. He then made three arch angels in Gabriel, Michael and Lucifer to control all those lesser angels. Lucifer got too big headed and wanted to become God and there was a war in Heaven.Lucifer was defeated and all his angel followers were banished from Heaven.

In the beginning, God said ,Let there be light and in six days , he created the world and every plant and animals in the world and rested on the seventh day.

God created Adam in His likeness but He found that Adam was not perfect or inadequate. Adam was the first prototype. He wandered around in the garden of Eden and was lonely and God took pity on him.

When Adam was asleep, he took his rib bone and made Eve.. Why did God make Eve not the in the same likeness as Adam? Did God made a mistake in Adam? God created a more superior being to compensate what was lacking in Adam . That living being is called a woman . She was to be his helper or his 'tormentor.'

God put Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden and told them that they could eat the fruits of every tree except the fruits from the tree of knowledge. The serpent came and tricked Eve who told Adam to eat the forbidden fruit and God found them guilty and banished them from the garden.

That is what we read in the Bible. Did you think this judgment was correct or was it too harsh?

There was no mention of giving first or second warnings in the Bible. If you were conned and the judge said ,'Why are you so stupid to be conned and ate that rotten apple?.

Then the judge banished you like what the police here do when there is not enough evidence to charge you. Send you to another rural place or become a restricted person.

Did God made a mistake. ? God is an all forgiving God. Why did God not forgive them ? Is it not contradictory to His teachings about forgiveness?

The mistake being, He did not made Eve smarter and was tricked by the serpent. Was it Eve's fault? God is a compassionate God but he expelled them from the garden..God's forgiveness is limitless , yet He did not forgive Adam and Eve even though it was not exactly Adams fault.Blame it on the women .

In another incident, God wanted to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah but Lot ,interceded to God and asked Him to hold back. He told God , if He destroyed those two cities, He would also destroyed some good Christians .

Then God asked Lot if he can find 10 Christians in that two city, He would not destroy the two cities.Did God's fury blinded his decisions to destroy the cities and even those good Christians until Lot interceded and God relented?

Did God destroyed those two cities because they did not worshipped God but engaged in the same sex? God was angry the people did not listened to Him and worshipped idols and they lusted for the same kind.

Because of that, did God outlaw homosexuals? What if those people worshiped God in those two cities and they did have the gay sex? Would God be so kind to save the city and then slowly lead them back to the right path ?

I don't have the answers. These are thought provoking ideas. You decide and believe whatever you want.
